Braccen Heale

Developed out of a residency in Bracknell, a New Town in England with more than its share of social ills. On this residency, I discovered its main issue seemed that it had a serious communication problem between the municipal governors and the public concerning the future development of the town centre and the public consultancy regarding that. As “Bracknell” means ‘Bracken Covered Secret Place’ in Old Saxon, I constructed such a hiding place and placed the Mayor of the town into the den, inviting the public to spend a few unencumbered, private and one-on-one moments with the mayor to encourage a freer dialogue.
