Atelier Public #2 was an exhibition at the Gallery of Modern Art (Glasgow) which started out as an empty room, featuring only art materials. The public were invited come into the gallery to make art work that would then be exhibited, creating a 'public exhibition'. I was asked to develop an intervention to this and was curious how 'art' was phrased only as 'making' and so co-ordinated a 'Destruction Day' where anyone could come to destroy any/all artworks as a creative act. You could also come to defend an artwork, thus expanding the discourse of art to be more complex than just 'making'.
